Regency at Bowes Creek Country Club — Amenities

Elgin, Kane County | 351 homes | Toll Brothers single-family | Golf course community

The "Country Club" in the name refers to Bowes Creek Country Club, a semi-public golf course that existed before the Regency development was built around it. Toll Brothers positioned the community to leverage the course — marketing materials emphasize golf access — but the course operates independently from the HOA. Residents get preferred tee times and discounted rates, not a membership included in the HOA fee. If regular golf at preferred pricing is your primary reason for choosing this community, verify the current resident rate structure before purchasing, as third-party club arrangements can change with ownership or management.

Preferred rates are not the same as membership. At the time this community was built, Regency residents received discounted access to Bowes Creek Country Club's 18-hole course. That arrangement is not guaranteed in perpetuity by your HOA agreement the way an HOA-owned course at Carillon (Plainfield) or Sun City Huntley would be. Confirm the current arrangement with the HOA and the club before treating golf access as a core feature of the purchase.

Community Amenities (HOA-Operated)

What Toll Brothers construction means over 10–20 years: Toll homes are built to a finish and structural standard above production builders. Hardwood floors, upgraded trim, better insulation, higher-quality mechanicals — these translate to lower early maintenance costs and a better-maintained community aesthetic over time. Regency at Bowes Creek will look better in 15 years than a comparable community built by a lower-tier builder, which supports home values. The tradeoff is higher insurance replacement cost and a higher initial purchase price.

Elgin and the Kane County Location

Elgin is Kane County's largest city, situated on the Fox River roughly 35 miles northwest of Chicago. Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin is a full-service regional medical center approximately 10 minutes from the community — solid healthcare access without driving to the suburbs. The Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line runs through Elgin with service to downtown Chicago in approximately 60–70 minutes. Interstate 90 is accessible for regional travel east toward O'Hare or west toward Rockford.

The Fox River trail system runs through Elgin and connects to a regional trail network extending north to Algonquin and south toward Aurora — genuinely useful for buyers who walk or bike outdoors regularly. The Elgin riverfront has seen investment in the past decade with dining and cultural institutions that make the location more interesting than a generic outer suburb.
