Your Town Square Is Part of Your Daily Life
The Villages is built around the town square concept — developer-controlled entertainment districts that serve as the social anchor for each section of the community. Every square offers free live music seven nights a week, dining, bars, and shopping, all accessible by golf cart from surrounding villages.
Which square is your primary one is largely determined by which village you buy in. North-of-466 buyers land closest to Lake Sumter Landing. South-of-466 buyers are Brownwood territory. Fenney and Eastport buyers are betting on Eastport, which is still under development. This matters for daily quality of life — choose your square, then narrow to the villages within cart distance of it.
Key fact: All squares are technically accessible to all residents via golf cart — but the ride from Lake Sumter Landing to Brownwood is meaningful (15–20+ minutes by cart), and residents primarily use their closest square for daily activities. The squares are not interchangeable in practice for daily use.
